The unique colours change from season to season, the first hints of green at the start of spring contrasting through to green bracken decorated fell sides, purple heather clothed tops in august and in autumn when the bracken dies down to alter the fell sides a flaming red and if you’re here over winter you may be suprised by getting snowed in.

If the 3 main guidelines of Outdoor Landscape Photography are Location, Location, Location, then here in The English Lake District is perfect with its lakes, fells and valleys to focus on.

The Lake District is a unique place whether you want untamed craggy mountains, serene lakes and glass top tarns, stunning water falls, calm woodlands or storm blasted moorland; it has something for everybody.

Hikers will be able to merge both their outdoor passions; taking a hike along with a photography opportunity; you must always take your camera with you anywhere you go you never know what you will see.

Finally consider taking an abundance of patience with you. The Lake District happens to be a very popular tourist destination and can get active at times so having precisely selected your shot, set your camera up, waited for the right light somebody is certain to stroll into picture then another and possibly another.

Just be tolerant, take into consideration that everybody has a right to be where you are. Fortunately if you get there early at the start of the day or later on when everyones gone home or to eat at a restaurant to get the best light, these are typically the best periods too.
