Castlerigg Stone Circle situated just outside Keswick.

A late Neolithic to early bronze age stone circle containing thirty-eight large stones and a rectangle of ten stones.

The entrance to the stone circle faces due north but no astronomical alignment has been proven to exist. From the stone circle the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains is outstanding.
