The Aquarium of the Lakes -- One of the most popular attractions and it is located in Newby Bridge.

This is a great place to take the children on a fun, but educational day out, learning about the different kinds of water life in and around the Lake District. The Aquarium is divided into four different sections, the River; the Lake; the Seashore; and the Bay.

Also located on the premises is Café at the Quay, offering a wide range of snacks and beverages; and Shopping at the Quay, which provides a number of shops offering a wide range of gifts and souvenirs.

Another unique feature of the Aquarium is the AquaQuest’s Educational Activity Centre, which offers a wide range of activities for children that are both educational and fun at the same time.

With all this on offer, it is easy to see why the Aquarium of the Lakes is one of Cumbria’s top visitor attractions.
