Balloon Ride Itinerary ( Balloon Flights )

A hot air balloon ride usually starts with you arriving at the launch area where you will meet your pilot for the flight along with crew and maybe other passengers. The crew will encourage passengers to participate in the setting up of the balloon and equipment, this adds spirit to the occasion.

When the pilot has finished his safety checks and discussed wind direction with the recovery team, its time for take off, as you rise upwards you will be able to wave goodbye to those left on the ground.

You will soon be well above the tree tops and level with the tops of the Lake District mountains, the view will be awesome you should be able to see the coastline of the Western Lake District. During the flight the pilot will point out famous landmarks or things of intrest, while you drift slowely along covering miles of National Park below you, tiny cars, people on the hills walking and of course the leisure craft on the many lakes in the area.

Towards the end of your flight, the pilot will be deciding on the best area to land, they have a few pre-chosen sites available to them, the ground crew monitors the flight so they can meet the balloon to help land, secure and of course the job of packing it all away, the passangers are not expected to help but many join in anyway.
