On the A5091 south-west of Penrith. This is a good example of a small fellcountry church in a relatively remote yet accessible location.
The deed of consecration is 1573, but the earliest certain date for the building is an inscription of 1686.
There are interesting period furnishing and, from the small churchyard, splendid views over the surrounding countryside to the fells above Ullswater.
