This delightful little church is said to have been built by local people in 1504 to save the 11km walk to Cartmel Priory.
The floor slopes down towards the altar; there is fine fifteenth-century glass in the east window.
Box pews, an unusual three-decker pulpit, all late seventeenth-century, and barn-like roof beams are other distinctive features.
