To find this church, it is necessary to watch closely for the signed turning from A595 about 3km south of Muncaster Castle.

The location beside the old form over the Esk estuary is idyllic. The low twelfth-century building has largely escaped Victorian "improvements" and whilst the ceiling, box pews and electrified oil lamps are relatively modern they are sympathetic to the church as a whole.

The pulpit, font, windows and an ancient cross in the churchyard are full of interest, but the abiding memory for most visitors will be of peace and tranquility.
