Whilst this church may not appear very old, the nave and half of the chancel date from about 1100.
Two unusual, probably Saxon features are above the main door and the door into the tower. Over one is carved a scene depicting a dragon, a winged figure, a winged shield with a cross, and a sword; the other has equally strange and enigmatic figures.
The north wall has two notable stained glass windows. THere is a massive ancient oak parish chest and, by contrast, a superb modern crocheted lace sampler with the Lord's Prayer.
