St Michael and All Angels (Nether Wasdale) ( Churches )

This tiny church, with nave and chancel in one, was formerly a chapelry of the priory of St Bees.

The seventeenth-century oak panelling, lectern and pulpit carvings are said to have come from York Minster. There are Jacobean altar rails.

The royal arms are of George III.
