The mid eighteenth-century church replaced an older one, parts of which still remain.

One of these is an unusual and massive three-decker pulpit. Its lowest seat was for the clerk; from the second the vicar would take the service, whilst the sermon would be preached from the top deck.

It is sited in the middle of the north side of the church. The pews on either side face inward to the central aisle and there is a gallery over the west end.
