Wasdale Head Show and Shepherd's Meet – Held in Wasdale, this annual event is where all the best sheep farmers of the Lake District come to show their stuff.

The main attraction is the show of Herdwick sheep and sheepdogs. Other attractions on offer include hound trails, fell races, children's sports, Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling, a terrier show, as well as anything to do with Cumbrian nature and character.
