Aira Force – Aira Force is located 7 miles south of Penrith off the A592, on the western shores of Ullswater.

The amazing 70 ft drop down the wooded ravine is a sight not to be missed, with the nearby bridge offering an excellent viewpoint. There is also a walking trail that leads you to Aira Beck and High Force waterfalls.

A tearoom is also available, which serves light meals and refreshments. There is also an information point, which provides information on Aira Force as well as the surrounding area.

During holiday season there is a National Trust Vehicle on site, which offers a wide range of information on the background of Aira Force and the surrounding area. This is one of the sights in the Lake District not to be missed.
