Elterwater – This is a privately owned lake found in the centre of the Lake District, located to the south of Grasmere and west of Windermere Lake.

Elterwater is only 0.80 m long, 0.4 km wide and 15.24 m deep.

The lake has some of the most beautiful views of the Langdale Pikes and Langdale Valley.
