Haweswater – The lake is located to the south of Penrith and to the north of Windermere, and is the highest lake in the Lake District at 790 metres above sea level.

Haweswater is the 4th deepest lake in the Lake District at 198 metres.

The area around the lake is also home to England’s only breeding pair of Golden Eagles.
