Wastwater – This is the most scenic lake in the Lake District and it is located in the west of the county in Wasdale Valley.

Wastwater is the deepest lake in England and is at the foot of the highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike. Red Pike, Kirk Fell and Great Gable mountains also surround the lake.

There are a number of walking trails that take you through the breathtaking scenery.
