Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum is situated at Threlkeld, near Keswick.

Built on the site of the former Threlkeld Quarry, this elevated site offers excellent views of Blencathra and the surrounding fells.

There are excavators, a small railway and an engine house which were all used during typical quarrying operations.

You will see plenty of pictorial history together with tools, and geological specimens relating to the quarry and the surrounding Lake District fells.
