Bowness-on-Windermere – Bowness is a flourishing holiday town and the largest town in the Lake District National Park.

It is located on the shores of Lake Windermere and the views over the lake and up to the mountains are spectacular. This vibrant town offers many shops, eating and drinking establishments and a number of excellent cultural and historical attractions.

Some of the town’s top attractions include the 15th century church of St. Martin's, the Steamboat Museum, and The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction.

Bowness also has its own ferry terminal, which provides easy access to the enchanting village of Hawkshead. There are also a number of sail and steamboats that provide regular trips up and down the lake.
