Cartmel – Cartmel is a largely untouched village located in the centre of a peninsula in Morecambe Bay.

This quiet village is very popular with tourists who are looking for a more relaxed holiday. The centre of the village is a charismatic square, surrounded by charming houses, shops and B&B's.

Cartmel’s top attraction is Cartmel Priory, is an Augustinian House dating back to 1190, which was once a spiritual focus for the area.

The close by Cartmel Racecourse offers the smallest National Hunt racecourse in England.
