Haverthwaite ( Towns & Villages )

Haverthwaite – This small village is located just off the A590 near to Low Wood, and is also close to Greenodd and Ulverston, with the Lake District National Park to the north of the village.

Haverthwaite has a rich history including the steam railway line and the old listed gunpowder works; both are worth paying a visit.

This quiet village makes an excellent starting point for exploring this part of the Lake District with a number of points of interest being found nearby, as well as a range of walks starting and ending in the village.
