Hawkshead – Hawkshead has flourished ever since its days as a Medieval market town.
This town is the perfect place for tourists to experience the real Lake District. Hawkshead has a long history, with many historical attractions including the ruins of Hawkshead Hall, the 15th century St Michael's Parish church and the 1855 grammar school that William Wordsworth attended.
The town’s surrounding landscape is some of the best in the Lake District, with Grizedale Forest to the south, Windermere Lake to the east and Lake Coniston to the west.
