Hesket Newmarket – This small village is located in the northern part of the Lake District National Park, about a mile from Caldbeck.

Hesket Newmarket is a very small village, with Post Office cum shop, a pub, a market cross, a brewery and a hall.

The Old Crown pub serves a wide range of specialty beers brewed at the Hesket Newmarket Independent Brewery.

This quiet village is a great place to go and take a look at Lakeland life away from the more commercialized tourist towns.

There are also a number of excellent walks near the village, which are very popular with walkers wishing to explore the natural beauty of the National Park.
