Johnby – This small rural village is located to the north west of Penrith and to the south of Carlisle, near Greystoke Forrest under Berrier Hill.

Johnby is a scattered village mainly consisting of limestone farmsteads, a pub and a couple of shops.

The top attraction near Johnby is the Hutton-in-the-Forest ancient monument, which is of historical interest.
