Keswick ( Towns & Villages )

Keswick – Keswick is referred to as the Queen of the Lake District and has some of the most beautiful surrounding landscape.

Skiddaw Mountain, Blencathra and High Seat surround the village.

Settlement at Keswick dates back to the 12th century. The village has a number of historical attractions including Crosthwaite Church, which was originally erected in 1181 and then rebuilt in the 14th century.

The Moot Hall in the market square that dates back to 1813, and the Castlerigg stone circle, which dates back to pre-Christian Britain.
