Kirkby Lonsdale – This town is located in the south of the Lake District and is the site of one of the oldest settlements in the area, with the town being recorded as early as 1086 and securing a market charter by 1227.
Kirkby Linsdale has a number of historical attractions, including the Queen Elizabeth School dating back to 1591, the 15th century Devil's Bridge across the River Lune, 1591 as well as a number of other traditional constructions.
