Near Sawrey – This beautiful little village is located on the shore of Esthwaite Water to the west of Lake Windermere and to the east of Hawkshead.

Near Sawrey is most famous for the legacy of Beatrix Potter, holed up in her 17th century farmhouse Hill Top she created many of her famous and beloved characters.

Many visitors come to Near Sawrey every year to get a glimpse of her life and the village she called home.

There are also a number of walks near the village, which offer visitors the opportunity to explore the beauty of the Lake District.
