Newby Bridge ( Towns & Villages )

Newby Bridge – Newby Bridge is made up of a small group of dwellings centered around the remarkable Newby Bridge which spans across the River Leven.

The bridge is a beautifully crafted crossing that was made from local stone by skilled craftsmen. Newby Bridge offers breathtaking views into the heart of the Lake District and has become a very popular attraction with visitors to the District.

Close to the village is the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway that offers visitors the chance to travel deep into Lakeland on expertly maintained steam trains, which is an adventure all on its own.

Newby Bridge is another excellent destination to choose as the starting point of a holiday exploring the Lake District.
