Portinscale – Portinscale is located in the Borrowdale Valley off the A66, to the west of Keswick and to the south of Thornthwaite on the northwestern side of Derwentwater.

The village is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery the Lake District has to offer.

Portinscale makes for a good starting point for a Lakeland holiday, with a number of facilities and services to offer visitors to the Lake District. Derwentwater is a lively lake with a range of watersports on offer, as well as a number of excellent walks around the lake.

The close by Skiddaw Mountain and High Seat offer fell walkers with some excellent trails.
